What is Esusu Split Pay?

Esusu Split Pay is a new way to pay rent that gives you more control and flexibility. Instead of paying your full rent amount at once, Esusu Split Pay allows you to pay a portion upfront and spread the remaining balance over two smaller payments. This program is in partnership with Stable Home Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

How is Esusu Split Pay different from Stable Home Fund’s Rent Relief Program?

Rent Relief is a zero-interest loan intended to provide an immediate, interest-free advance to assist those experiencing severe financial distress due to factors outside of their control. It typically features fixed repayment terms of 12 months, making it ideal for emergency situations. Esusu Split Pay, on the other hand, has a shorter repayment term of 30 days, designed to help you manage your cash flows better within a single rent cycle.

Who is qualified to apply for the Esusu Split Pay?

Verified renters at participating Esusu properties that are registered users of the Esusu App with a Plus or Premium subscription to the Esusu Service.

If I am qualified, am I automatically approved?

No. Program qualification confirms your ability to apply for Esusu Split Pay. However, final approval is subject to Stable Home Fund’s underwriting criteria. Esusu cannot override Stable Home Fund’s decision.

How do I apply for an Esusu Split Pay loan?

Download the Esusu App and subscribe to our Plus or Premium plan to access a unique application link to Stable Home Fund’s Rent Payment Solutions portal. You’ll need to fill out an application form with Stable Home Fund via the portal to be considered for an Esusu Split Pay loan.

Can I apply anytime?

It is recommended that you must apply at least 7 business days before your rent due date to allow time for processing and posting. Note that only one application will be allowed at any given time, but you may re-apply each month once you’ve paid off any outstanding Esusu Split Pay loans.

Why do I need to make a downpayment?

Esusu Split Pay is designed to give you more flexibility with your rent, and the downpayment is a key part of how it works. Your downpayment allows us to offer the remaining balance as a zero-interest loan. This keeps the solution focused on helping you meet your rent obligation without adding to your long-term debt.

Will the downpayment be used to pay part of my rent?

Yes. When you make your downpayment, Stable Home Fund pays your full rent amount (downpayment + Esusu Split Pay loan) to your property manager within 2-5 business days. This ensures your rent is always settled on time, giving you peace of mind and protecting your rental history.

What do the payment terms look like for this program?

The payment term is set to 30 days at a semi-monthly repayment period where you'll be able to pay the balance back in two installments.

How do I make repayments?

You can make or schedule payments by logging in to Stable Home Fund’s Rent Payment Solutions portal.

Will Esusu charge any interest & loan fees?

No. We do not charge interest or any hidden fees for this product. You can even pay your loan off early without any penalty!

How quickly will my approved amount be sent to my property?

It generally takes 2–5 business days for your Esusu Split Pay loan to be processed and sent to your property’s designated bank account. To avoid delays, you must apply at least 7 business days before your rent due date to allow time for processing and posting.

What if there’s an issue with my rent disbursement or rent ledger?
