Do I really get 24 months of past rent reported for free?

Yes. When you sign up, we can report up to 24 months of your previous rent payments to all three credit bureaus at no extra charge. Most competitors charge $50–100+ for this as an add-on. With Esusu, it's included.

Do I need my landlord's permission?

No. We verify your rent payments through your bank connection, so your landlord doesn't need to sign anything or even know you're using Esusu.

How long until I see results on my credit report?

Many members see their past rent appear on their credit reports within 30 days of signing up. If you have a thin credit file, the impact of adding 24 months of payment history can be significant right away.

Is my bank information secure?

Yes. We use bank-level encryption and connect through Plaid, the same secure service used by Venmo, Chime, and most major financial apps. We never store your login credentials.

What if I miss a rent payment?

We only report payments we can verify. If you miss a payment, we won't report a negative mark — but we also can't report a positive one for that month. Consistent on-time payments are key to building your credit.
