Esusu and Progress Residential Partner to Bring Rent Reporting to Single-Family Rental Housing

Esusu expanded its rent reporting platform into the single-family rental market through a partnership with Progress Residential, extending credit-building opportunities beyond multifamily, student, and senior housing. The partnership marked an important step in bringing rent reporting to more renters across different types of housing.

The collaboration reaches more than 250,000 Progress Residential residents across approximately 80,000 homes nationwide, making it one of the largest expansions of rent reporting in Esusu’s history.

Progress Residential is a strong fit for this work because of its scale in the single-family rental market and its focus on resident support. The partnership also opens another major segment of the housing market to rent reporting and renter financial health tools.

Today, the platform available to owners and operators includes Rent Reporting, Rent Relief, Social Impact Analytics, and a broader Renter Financial Health Platform, with positive-only rent reporting and a 24-month look-back window as part of the product story. These tools are designed to support both portfolio performance and measurable resident outcomes.

The partnership also shows up in broader impact narratives. In its 2023 annual report, Pretium highlighted how Progress Residential used Esusu’s Rent Reporting to support more equitable participation in financial-services markets and to advance its own social impact goals.
